Jimmy Donegan first picked up the bass at the age of 13, setting the foundation for a lifelong passion for music. He cut his teeth in the raucous music scene of the ‘80s and ‘90s, honing his craft by playing both covers and original material in various bands.

While attending college, Jimmy took his love for music beyond the stage, embarking on a career in the music business. Working both sides of the industry, he spent his days collecting royalties and navigating the business side of music while spending his nights bringing venues to life with his bass lines.

Eventually, Jimmy found his way to Mary’s Basement, the band that has been his musical home for nearly two decades. With a rock-solid foundation in both performance and industry know-how, he continues to deliver powerful bass lines that keep the rhythm pumping and the crowd moving. Some grooves never fade.
